Lets talk optics and triggers...

I need a little advice from the GS experts...

For reference AR platform 6.8 spec...

Scopes:
I would prefer something high-powered in the 6.5x24 50mm range, possible lighted reticle. My top choices now are:
Nightforce
Zeiss
Swavorski

I would consider any other brands...

Triggers I want a single staged drop in trigger (3 lbs range)...

What say you???

Look at Vortex Optics I have a couple and love them. As far as triggers go I have no idea on single stage, I like my RR National match 2 Stage breaks at 2.5lbs.

Couple of questions:

1) why high powered glass?

2) what will be the main purpose of the rifle?

Main purpose:
Normal hunting (I know Texas offers short range hunting), but I like to take an occasional long shot and prefer high power optics. I have a couple of AR's set up for under 200 and need versatility or my wife just wouldn't understand...
