Gun purchase wait period?

If I a rifle today can I purchase another tomorrow or is there a waiting period between purchases?

Honestly I don't think there is a waiting period. I think there may be some reporting required under FFL rules if a person buys more than a certain number of firearms within a certain time frame. Like maybe if you purchase more than 3 handguns in a week or day or something similar.

I do not think there is mandatory waiting period if you pass the background.

For handguns: ATF Form 3310.4 you fill out if you buy 2 or more pistols in a 5 day period... Only applies for handguns. filed in triplicate one to ATF, one to local law enforcement, and the last one is retained by the ffl for 5 years.


For long guns, shotguns, rifles there's no such regulations or forms... You're good to go.

I had forgotten about this... It applies to any semi auto larger than .22 with a detachable mag
