Are you consistent with your stroke of the powder measure? I throw a charge and then tap the handle twice between charges. This seems to make charge weights very consistent. I have varied the way I throw a charge and noticed quite a bit of variance in charge weights.

....and 1 grain can be a huge problem in a 4-6gr charge weight.

When i load my standard 45 load i trust my lee autocharge enough to check only every 100 rounds after i measured 5 in a row after setting the press up. never had a problem doing this. and 0.1 is good enough for me.

But when i load my very hot 454 casull i measure every charge and tickle per hand so that every charge is exactly the same. Just way to much power....
