Bought my wife a 938 a few months back. It's her first gun and she loves it.

I have both, the 938 has quite a bit more recoil but still manageable. My wife shoots the 938 all the time, she likes it better than the 238 and wants one of her own.

My wife also chose this gun as her first pistol, she has shot this gun a lot and enjoys it, she took her CHL with this gun as well.... I personally feel this gun handles great, my wife has never shot another pistol before this one and I just asked my wife about the recoil and she said the recoil is not noticeable or an issue for her, she is a small frame person as well. I also like the fact that she can now grab any of my 1911's and use them if needed as they operate similarly.

I am in the market for another for myself... a true pleasure to shoot...

The recoil is snappy. An inexperienced shooter may be a littl intimidated by it. I noticed I was wanting to grip it high. Asking to spring a leak there. I prefer the feel of the extended mag vs the flush. Overall, the edges are sharper on the 938 vs either of my Kahrs but its small and shoots well.

Little bit of a surprise on her first shot but she had never even held a gun before that. After that she put 100+ rounds thru it like she was a pro.
