I might move to Maryland where I can feel safe once again.

Here's hoping that Beretta USA moves to Texas and brings us their millions of dollars in revenues, jobs, etc.

"It also bans the sale of 45 types of assault weapons, which have been linked to at least 461 U.S. deaths since 2004, according to the governor's office."

Twice as many people in the U.S. are killed yearly by getting hit by lightning. Let's ban weather!

Maryland is one state I will never visit and they will never see a dime of tourist money from me.

I lived out of a hotel there for 6 months back in 07 and them are nothing more than DC idiots all over that place. Maryland has some really cool historical sights dating to both the revolution and civil war. Most people out of town are good folks but in town it reminds me of Austin or California...
Now if your driving around out in the country do not wave at an oncoming car/truck. They have no idea what your doing...

Ok 45 different types of AW... Models

461 deaths comes to 10.244 since 2004 9 years = 1.137 people killed each year from all 45 types of AW 51.17 a year total times 9 years..

Drunk driving in 1 year..... health problems......handguns......knives........bad weather and list goes on.... shouldn't we banned them all.

                          Great comment under the article...

"Headline should read 'Maryland governor signs bill for stricter citizen control'"

                            So is Washington DC.

I think the Missouri Compromise line is a better indication of the south.

""We've chosen to take action by advancing the strategies that work to save lives," O'Malley, a Democrat mentioned as a potential presidential candidate in 2016, said in a statement."

Scariest part of the article right there.
