    Savage mark ii

I'm wanting to get the savage mark ii FSS ( laminate stock and stainless steel), does anyone have an experience with this rifle? It would be mostly shooting bulk ammo, not the high end stuff. I just want it to work on squirrels, coons, and rabbits out to 50-60 yards. Basically, with you're experience will it print 2 inch groups at 50 and 60 yards with bulk ammo?

Thanks for any opinions, I'm new to the rimfire game.

I can absolutely attest that it will. My son can group less than 1" at 50 with his plain jane Mark II, as can I keep it under 3 at 50 with open sights. I had a bull barrel version that I sold that would make a ragged hole at 50 with a low end BSA scope. Those are my favorite 22s to shoot, so much that my 10/22 hasn't seen daylight in 2 years.

That's awesome to hear and dang good shooting! Talking the cheap bulk ammo right?
Cause finding any match grade stuff is near impossible!

Yes, all we use is cheap bulk (not that its really cheap anymore). His normal rounds to shoot were the Remington Golden Bullet. I've been hunting for those badly. They are the ones that my Sig Mosquito shoot the best, and all of our 22s eat them just fine.

They are very accurate. I have the FV-SR model but it is crazy good

Blue- ammo is pretty hard to find, if I see golden bullets ill have to pick em up and try them out.
