He's selling Monarch? That's imported exclusively by Academy I do believe. He's selling it 2nd or 3rd hand.

No, I don't believe so. A lot of people think, or advertise that they are "exclusive" when they are not. Saw it before/during Y2K as well.

So much for the situation getting better.

The clowns that are stocking these shelves are the reason that Wal-marts are empty.

Took the wife out last Friday night. After dinner we swung by Academy to check on a few things. She asked me why they had a ton of ammo and WalMart was dusty shelves. I took a closer look at the prices and they were about 2x what I thought was normal.

Supply and demand. Only way is to increase supply is to produce more , or price it above what hoarders are willing to pay. I won't likely buy a $50/brick 22 lr, but at least I can if needed. Prices well come back down as supply increases.

and it won't at those prices. And to think that I hated paying $24.99 for the exact box Remington .45

They had a brick of 22 for $200

Why doesn't Academy or Walmart suspend sales for a week or two, enough time to have a decent quantity and have their shelves stocked, then open it back up after its full. Then they are ahead of the curve and people like me (who work for a living!!!!) who can't be waiting in a line first thing in the morning 3 days a week for some ammo can actually get some! I can't get ANYTHING here in Fort Worth.

                            Raping the customer wanting ammo

I'd pay more for a transfer and do my business else where. Principles are worth more than $10 or $15.....

If Walmart got ALL the 22 LR made for the US markets, 2.5 billion rounds, that would translate to 7.3bricks(525 round brick) per Walmart per day.

                                2500000000/525= 4,761,904 bricks per year
                                4761904/1800 Walmarts = 2645 bricks a year each walmart
                                2645/365 days= 7.25 bricks per day
