    Antique Powder Find

I found this unopened container in my FIL's stash today. The container is made of cardboard and the price was marked at $2.65!
    Any thoughts on age?

I have a friend who inherited his dads reloading supplies and still uses powder like that.

From what my father in law recalls... Late 60's to early 70's sound about right.
Does not say made in Scotland, it has Shawnee Mission, KS
Was in a good sealed enviroment. Gonna see if it will bang?

Hogdon is at the NRA show in Houston right now if anyone can show this pic to the guys at the booth, they might be able to tell you.

My dad has some cans like that that he bought in the early 70's. The powder is still good.

I would say mid 70's when it was phased out from cardboard.
I would be willing to bet around the same time as the oil cans. Remember those?
Metal ends and cardboard sides. If you kept some stored log enough they leaked through the paper.
