The mesquite store had a few this morning, alo g with two colt 22s and a smith an wesson 22. It was my first time to handle the colt 22 and it is very nice and all aluminum.

                    Any Colts in these stores?

And I'm not too worried about them taking the ARs off the shelf. Good business. They sell more "other stuff" to soccer moms than they do guns. Being big enough to have buying power helps some of us the chance of decent prices.
Heck, if they have a Colt, they can sell it to me in the alley...

I don't think they were pulling them off the shelves, just think they were selling out in a matter of minutes. Academy did increase their prices. Hopefully people are starting to get stuck with the low end ARs they are trying to sell for 1400+

I'm giving my business to local gun shops. I don't have to stand in line to buy 1 bx of ammo. I wasn't really looking to buy one but last Saturday I bought a Ruger 10/22 black with laser sight for 359.99. Then in Sunday's paper, Academy had the same gun for $399.99. The best thing is that the people behind the counter remember my name.

I was in the Lewisville Academy about 7 sat night. They had their ARs on the shelf, started putting them back on shelf Thursday.

                          had 8 or 10 in .22.
Had a Sig 7.62 for $1295.. Had a DPMS and another decent brand for $945 and $999, clerk told me there were more in the back. Hadn't sold one since Thursday.

Tyler had a few on the shelf today. Handgun inventory was pretty good also.

Academy had a Beretta CX4 Storm last week in 9mm. I can't believe I walked away. I've been wanting one of these since before the craze.
