    Lever Actions?

They are pretty cool! I have a Marlin 30-30 anybody know a lot about lever actions? Good manufactures, caliber etc. Not exactly sure what it would be used for maybe hogs and deer. Lemme know what you think!

I've got several lever actions, one of my favorites is a marlin 444. Are you looking to buy one?

It's been said that the 30-30 has killed more big game in North America than any other caliber. It is more than suitable for deer and pigs

What exactly are you looking for? The winchester and henry .22s are awesome, the henry, marlin, and winchester .30-30s are all awesome. The Henry 17hmrs and .22 mags are awesome. The Henry big boys are a ton of fun and are great pig/deer guns.

Which model do you have? I just bought a Marlin 30AS on gunbroker. Been looking for ammo, but it only found 1 box 3 counties away.

Marlin 336 is a good gun.. Of course Winchester 94, I even like the browning BLR. Henry makes some good ones too. It really depends on what caliber you're looking for and how much you want to pay. Every hunter should have at least one lever action rifle. I hunt exotics with my Winchester 94 30-30 at least once a year because I never put a scope on it and I like the challenge of open sights.

              Calibers I like:

              45-70
              30-30
              44 mag
              45 LC
              35 rem

I'm thinking about getting one but I'm not really sure yet. But I have enough .22s, a .17 Hmr would be cool but I want something with a little more power behind it. What would you say is a good hog dropping gun besides the 30-30?

If I bought another it would be the 444 Marlin.

I have a 336 in 30-30 and love it. Light and easy to carry plus two years ago killed my best deer with it, a 133" 10 point.

The above post and pic says it all. The Marlin 336 in 30-30 or 35 Remington is the best brush gun you can buy hands down. With advent of Hornady Leverevolution ammo they can be pretty dang accurate out to 125yds.

You can't beat em, they are light, sturdy, function well and will kill anything in this region of the United States.

They are definately not long range guns, but if you are within 100-125 yds this gun will put it down.

I currently own a 1895 Guide gun chambered in 45/70 affectionatly know as "Thumper".
