    Question about reloading.

Why do you have to pay $27.50 or so for hazmat when you order primers? But you can send ammo in the mail all day long without spending the extra on hazmat.

    It is the law.

LOL......I understand that, but what is the reason behind it? Is it not more dangerous to ship ammo than it is primers? I can understand the hazmat on the powder, but the primers I don't get the logic.

Really? I called ups today and she said to mark it and send it. How much extra do you have to pay?

It cost me almost $20 to ship a box of 7 mag ammo to Coach W a while back.

That's weird when I order ammo from sportsmans guide. Or used to, I got free shipping

The explosive rating for primers are 1.2 for detonation and sensitivity. When you make a cartridge it is 1.4/s small arms because it is insensitive to discharge.
