CHL question, please help

I completed the on-line appl. on Thurs(11th), completed classroom Sat(13th).
I have an appt on next Tues the 23rd for fingerprints. Can I go ahead and send my paper work,photos in or do I need to wait until after the fp?

ok thanks. I just wasn't sure if there was anything I would actually be sending concerning the FP's since it's electronic. They will be sending those so not real sure how DPS will know to whom they go to if I haven't already sent in paperwork. ???

Send everything together. The checklist that you should have printed when you did your online application, should be complete when you send in your packet.
Don't give them any excuse to loose any of your paperwork!

Right, I totally agree, however, I have all the paperwork done. Just waiting for fingerprints, and was told they are sent electronically by Morpho Trust directly to DPS. I do not think I will have paperwork generated from the actual finger printing. Wondering how they will know where or what or whom to put the prints with if they don't have my original checklist and all paperwork in advance?

Did you pay for your fingerprinting online? I had a sheet I printed off that I had to take with me. They filled out some information on it when I got my fingerprints done. The paper has FAST in big letters at the top of the page. It states "This document is your FAST Fingerprint Pass for a national criminal history record check and must be presented at the time of printing. Your fingerprints will be submitted to the TXDPS/FBI with results delivered to this agency within one week." That is what me and my 3 friends sent in with our packet. We all paid for our fingerprinting online. Don't know if you have to but I wouldn't risk it, myself, they are slow enough with out any confusion.

Gotcha brother! Thanks C6D, I was assuming and I know what that does! Believe I will just wait a week and see if I have paper work to send from Morpho. I do have the FAST form and just wasn't sure about any paper work from them being sent. I certainly don't want to back log them anymore than they already are. Thanks for the help.

They fill in the FAST forum. After you mail them in you can join the CHL live wait thread and post your time frame.

You can budget 2 months from the time you send in your paperwork until you get a license in the mail... That is based on sending paperwork in back in January...
