    reloading guru question

Saw these at the Market Hall gun show yesterday. Any ideas how old they are? Will they shoot the same as current ones, or should I only work up loads using these and stick with these for those loads?

Couldent tell you the age. I think I rember buying some in the late 90's that were still packaged that way. I just cant be sure as to the date. I got about 500 given to me last summer and they shot just like my currant stash.

I reloaded with CCI primers in the mid 80's and I don't remember the packaging being green. I have some Remington primers from the late 80's.

Age, within the last 20yrs+-. As far as how they perform, I have loaded some older primers over the past couple months and they were just fine. Now, I keep my loading supplies in a climate controlled area all the time. Do you know their history?

Load and shoot! Always back off and work up a load when changing a component.

My stash of primers is vacuum sealed in 5K blocks.

Don't know their history. Guy had them for $4 per 100 so I thought I would try them. I've been using some that were early 90's (i think) that were in red and tan packaging. I was thinking these must have been before them??

they will shoot but anytime you switch primers you could see a very small change.

Probably made in the 80's should still shoot the same as new ones, but if they weren't stored properly you could have some that don't fire at all.
