It's no good, but it continues to get diminished. I don't think it's watered down enough to pass.

Our politicians are stupid to think that people can't see that none of the proposed crap they are working on would have prevented Newtown or the Colorado theatre shootings.
Like said on here before ENFORCE the laws on the books first.

First off its the Democratic Communist Party proposing all of this crap not our politicians, cause I would never support anyone like that.

That isn't what its about though. It's just the crisis that could potentially allow them to advance their political agenda for control. I hope the price paid polically sets them back from ever having control of any branch of our govt for 50 years or better.

          One can only hope.

I don't chime in on these type of topics usually but I live in Houston and there was a kid that went whacko the other day and stabbed 14 people at a college campus.

              4 were life-flighted!!!

On the radio someone was poking fun at how well all these "gun control" measures were working to prevent violence!!

I just had to chuckle to myself as I kept driving....

Someone should let him see a crisis in his own life... Personally. Then we would see how he felt about it.

                That's a pathetic excuse for a man!

Btw I stopped reading the link at the third mention of "compromise" and "deal"

                Compromise to a liberal:
                Lib: Give me 100,000 dollars
                Me: no
Lib: alright give me 50,000 dollars
                Me: no
Lib: ok well atleast compromise and give me 10,000 dollars.
                Me: no
Lib: that's un fair, you're being unreasonable,
Me: If you want it come take it big boy.
                Lib: see you're unreasonable.

Just out of curiosity, who did you vote for in 2000 and 2004?

I think this expanded background check thing might work. Background checks for your drivers license and voter ID. Then all I would have to do is show my drivers license to purchase a firearm. If you are a felon, illegal or too nuts to buy a firearm should I trust you with a car or to vote? Solves multiple issues all at once. Of course the same folks that can't or won't enforce the current laws would be responsible for the expanded background checks. So, nevermind.

Gun control is a long term goal. Every little step will be taken to attack the 2nd amendment and any accomplishment will be considered a victory.

In my opinion, enforcing the current gun laws and reducing the attention given to the killers in these horrendous crimes would be a step in the right direction.

I agree but good luck with the media cooperating on that one.

This is just one more place where the wussification of America is coming into play. When I was that age I carried a Buck Folding Hunter as my pocket knife. It was normally sharp enough to shave. Most of my friends carried a knife similar to mine. Had that nutjob produced an Exacto knife against us we'd have out-knifed him in short order and he'd probably not have needed those handcuffs when they toted him off. Fewer people would have been injured and we'd not have to pay for this clown's housing for the rest of his miserable life.

So just who gets to decide who is too nuts? How long do you think it would take before someone decides we're all too nuts?

irrevelant, doesnt matter, it didnt happen.
Bush had the opportunity to renew the AWB of Clintons but he was smart enough not to.

find something else to blame on bush

bringing up something like this would be the same thing as bringing up ALL of obama's broken promises...
