Concealed Carry on Campus

I had an interesting discussion with one of my professors the other day. He told me that he might not be here in the fall because he will resign immediately when concealed carry on campus gets approved. It took a lot of restraint to keep my opinion to myself...

Is this even a possibility? I haven't heard anything about a pending bill recently. I doubt it will happen but I sure hope it does...

I find it hilarious that I can carry all day, go shopping, walk around the park, eat dinner in a restaurant with these people, but the minute I walk on campus they think I'm going to turn into a raving lunatic and start shooting the place up.

It really makes the argument for how well concealed carry works because they honestly have no idea they are going about their daily lives with many law abiding citizens carrying around them all the time.

Exactly! Very well put. I would have pointed out to them that whenever they step off of campus, they walk past many people every day that are carrying.

Well, if that professor doesn't respect our right to carry guns in the USA, he is most likely a left thinker and maybe he should resign. I have heard all I want about left thinkers teaching our kids the wrong way to think.

I didn't care that much before I got my chl. Now that I have it, I'm more and more offended that I cannot protect myself and others simply because I'm on campus.
