No steady hand needed. Just goop the paint all over the areas that have the stamped letters. Let it dry. And then wipe over it with fingernail polish remover. It'll clean the paint off the slide while leaving it in the grooves.

Dang that a pretty good idea, I will have to remember that trick.

Academy in Lubbock had one today in 9mm. I don't need another caliber to feed so I quickly gave it back to the guy behind the counter.... Had it been in a caliber I'm stocked to feed it would have walked out the door with me.
