    What Scope for SKS ?

My old scope finally gave out on my SKS. I tried 2 different red dot scopes and both would not keep a zero

What scopes are there out there that would be good for my ole SKS.

See if you can find a Burris MTAC 1-4. May find a used one around $300 or new about $350ish. Love mine!

if you want to stay with a red dot try the vortex sparc or strikefire. you can get both for around 200. i have the sparc and no issues yet but both have good reviews.

I think I am going to stay away from the red dot scopes for now.

The scope isn't the problem most likely. It is the fact that it's an SKS. Unless you have the receiver drilled and tapped.

What mounting system are you using on the SKS?

Thats kinda what I am thinking. It isn't going to matter what you put on it since it will have a horrible mounting system and they aren't know for being outstandingly accurate anyways.

I have had the same scope and mount on the gun for years now and It was always on target, well for a sks that is. It's just now been giving me problems when I tried to upgrade the scope.

That scope mount is probably one of the worst ones. There are some out there with set screws and those even suck. But I'm not going to tell you you are wrong it may work for ya. Try another scope and see what it does.

i agree and those scope mounts arent the best. made in china pretty much sum's it up.
So the leapers scope wont stay on target too?
