Anyone have any experience with any of the Steyr pistols? I'm looking for a concealed carry weapon and was looking for some reviews on the Steyr models. Thanks.

I have mine going on 13 yrs and love it.Probably the only pistol i would never sell.Been more reliable and accurate than any other pistol i have shot.Got a new M&P 9 that gives it a run for the money but i would still go with the Steyr in a gun fight. The older M40's had a safety in the trigger housing and a loaded rd. Indicator. The newer ones don't have it but still a great pistol. The angle of the grip makes a better natural aim and the Trapizoid sights are way different than most but are what sold me on the Pistol.

Thanks for the info. I am definitely interested in looking at the trapezoidal sights in person.

I have a M9 with the safety and love it. Some people think the sights are weird but with the triangle front sight you can get pin point accuracy. The grip is very natural and with the high hold it reduces muzzle flip more than most other pistols. The trigger is better than average for a striker fired pistol and one you learn how to let the trigger forward just enough for it to reset it really improves. It's also the easist and fastest gun to disaaemble and put back together that I have dealt with. Accuracy and reliablility have been great, no FTF's or FTE's, and with ammo it likes it can do 1.5" groups at 15 yards.
The biggest drawbacks have been lack of aftermarket parts and at 6'2" and 175lbs I can't conceal it with just a t-shirt so it gets left at home.
