17hmr - Go with a TC Encore or straight caliber specific

Sorry guys. This should be last one regarding.

Ever since I bought my TC Triumph Muzzie I have kicked myself in the arse for not getting the TC Encore Pro Hunter. I only use my muzzie for three weeks in January every year so getting the 50 cal only rifle to use for that short period of time was a waste in my opinion.

So now that I want to get a 17hmr I am wondering if now is the time to get the TC Encore Pro Hunter.

Do yall have any experience with the 17 hmr TC barrel? or know anyone that does?

The TC Encores are pretty darn accurate from evrything I have read. Do they require re-siting every time you stick on a new barrel with a preattached scope? That would be enough for me to eliminate TC as an option.

I can save quite a bit of money by going with a 17hmr only rifle but money really isnt the main factor in this. I can think of one time in my life where I sold a gun and have regretted it ever since so I am not looking at this decision from resale standpoint either.

To be honest, I dont know what other barrels I would buy for the TC since I already have a 308, 6.8 and 223. Really the 17hmr is the only gap that needs to be filled from a practical standpoint.

What do yall think? Open to any and all arguments, advice etc.

I would buy a marlin bull barrel 17 hmr and be done with it IMO! But I'm not a fan if single shots. And I can stay pretty well on target shooting turtles and etc and still work the bolt. I'm biased tho lol

I don't have any experience with the .17HMR barrel for the Encore but I've never heard of anyone having accuracy problems with them. You shouldn't have to sight the rifle in again if you take the barrel off of the Encore and put it back on because the scope stays on the barrel.

If you think you'll want another caliber sooner or later (probably will) then the Encore might be worth getting. If not then you might as well just buy a .17HMR rifle and be done with it.No use in limiting yourself to a single shot when you could buy a bolt action for alot less.

One shot one kill. Wether my bow, encore rifle or contender pistol. Had a trigger job done to my encore frame so now I have a trigger job for all my barrels.
