    Need help on knife choice!!!

I have been looking to pick up a good knife to keep in a "go" bag. I am looking at trying to stay in the $100-$150 range. I have been eyeing either a Gerber LMF II or a Kabar Becker Combat/Utility. Any input on either of these knive or recommendations for other ones to consider?

    What say the green screen?

Fixed blade or folder??? Lots of awfully good custom knife makers out there..I'd go to the HGCA show at the Reliant Center April 20 and 21st...and look them over...there will be a lot of factory knives there also..

I just got a Cutco hunting knife with the D blade. Sharp as all get out. Strong too. $100. They also have a K-Bar. Free sharpening for life. Guaranteed for life.

My go to pack knives are SOG seal series. I am also a huge fan of CRKT. I have never owned a Gerber that held an edge.

I have an LMF. It's pretty good. BUT if I were to buy again there's only 1 knife I'd consider:

I have also eyed the SOG knives. The blade design is something I would have to get used to for sure. I like the specs on the Seal Pup Elite. Do any of you know if the Kydex sheaths for the are MOLLE compatible?

I just got a SOG Seal and would recommend it for a "go" bag.

I like the BK3 knives for the go-bag/bail-out bag scenario.
