Red dot and SOCOM II

I have a SOCOM II with vortex red dot mounted on it. Michael told me that I could add on magnifier where you can flip it to use it or flip it back down when not in use. I am not sure how that's going to work if my rail is not like AR that's mounted real easily. He said PSA, I think, have it for 99.00.

I wonder if anybody with M1A or SOCOM have experience with this? I know most use LER scopes mounted on it. I want to explore more for red dot than putting on a LER.

I appreciate the feedback so I can shoot out more than 100 yards with this rig rather than under 100 with red dot that I have. It's not even magnified. My right eye is not what it used to be. Lol.

Strike fire model. I got this from a TBH when we traded our scope. I had sniper scope and it was too big for my carry handle AR so we traded in. I didn't know it came with it. It's ok. I'll try get something to add it on.

all my magnifiers you have to get pretty close to like a scope to use them so i dont know if it will work on your socom II

This gives you an idea what it looks like. The scope is more forward than it would be on an AR. I don't have my AR anymore and getting used to this set up which is different than any AR.

I noticed on many forums that many have said LER is not the best way to go. Lose a field of view easily when leaning right or left. I guess I need to cough up for better red dot with magnification on it.

Ya the magnifier that comes with it is worthless. I am jealous of the socom though assassin. That thing is sweet!

Thank you, sir. I love my socom. It virtually has no recoil whatsoever. My 7-08 R-25 has more kick to my shoulder than my socom! Unbelievable! Lol

I have let some buds shoot mine and could not believe the lack of recoil....
