Thinking about pulling the trigger and finally getting a 1911 ive been wanting. Help!

Ive been wanting to get a 1911 for the past few months and was at cabelas getting ammo yesterday and ended up playing with a STI Spartan IV. Couldnt put it down. They have it for $699....should I do it?!

Also, they have it in 9mm and .45acp. I really want it in 45 but would it be frowned upon if I went for the 9mm for ammo purposes?

Help me decide! I wanna grab it today haha

The going price on the Spartan is $620. But that's online. So after shipping and FFL you're looking at the same price. I'd do it! I've had a Spartan in 45 and it's pretty good. I believe it's the best 1911 under $800.

        Do it!

If you can afford it. Get a 1911. I would get the .45 if I could only get one. More better for chootin deers and hoggies.

The Spartan is the only one not made here. Chris can shed more light on the situation than I can but from what I know all the fire control parts are STI and it still carries the full STI warranty.

                        Not a problem for me.

I would probably own more than one sti by now if there were a local place to check them out....

Amen to that Ive fondled a few here locally... but only at sharp shooters and they think they should add 20 bucks for every letter in their name... it was about 300 bucks over priced as a USED model.

I'd pick one up in a heart beat at a decent price... the problem is finding one to hold onto... AT a decent price.
