    10/22 builds, let's see 'em!

Did a quick search and didn't find anything. Thought I'd start a thread on 10/22s.
I'm working on a 17m2 conversion. I know, I know, lots of trouble with most, but I bought the barrel 6 years ago when the craze first started, and before anyone was talking much about the trouble they were running in to.
I'm starting with an old 10/22, putting a 16,5" GM 77/22 Sporter .17m2 barrel, with a PowerCustom heavy charge handle. Right now, I'm looking for a spacer and v-block shim to get it ready for a test run.
If you've done one of these conversions, post up and tell me about the headaches and roadblocks you ran into, as well as if you ever got it to run right!

No build yet, but I'm hoping to do one of those M1 Carbine conversions like this one:

I know! Always liked WWII memorabilia, so I figured a conversion kit will help feed my tastes. Anyway, here are some vendors that sell these kits:

replica m1 carbine ruger 10/22 stock w/two handguards. ruger 10/22, m1 carbine, conversion, 10/22 m1 carbine, replica m1 carbine, ruger 10/22 m1 carbine, tribute, 10/22 conversion kit, m1 carbine conversion kit, west one products,

I like the buttstock mag pouches in the pic above. When researching those, I understand you need to get one that won't scratch up the buttstock, though.

Posted right after you did. Good to know Brownell's sells them too!

Here's mine i just channeled out the factory stock and put a Green Mountain fluted bull barrel on it. I sand blasted the paint off the reciever and sealed it to pretect against corrosion.I have a scope that gets put on for bench work but she mostly stays with the irons. They are some great guns i would like to get another one and leave it orignal.

ID:	24187216 here are two of mine. Tactical solutions barrels that are threaded. Power custom trigger kits and hogue stocks. I polished the black coating off of one and left the flutes black for contrast. They both shoot great with or without the can.
