Might consider purchasing a factory gun and then buying an aftermarket stock. You could cut the aftermarket stock down to fit her and as she gets older move back to the factory stock which could also be cut down when she is grown. This is what I have done for my daughter.

This has my experience with the 250-3000 savage as well, really light kick and lays them down in their tracks.

250 Savage vs. 257 Roberts ..... Flip a coin as its a matter of personal preference

Both excellent 1/4 bore , short action calibers that any woman or kid can grow up shooting

Both have been around for nearly 100 yrs , the Bob is @ 150 fps faster ( a deer will have no clue on velocity difference)

The heaviest factory loading for the 250 is 100gr while the 257 loads a 117...and as Blake said is 150 fps faster...I'd probally chose the 257...just because...

True... Or the .250 for the cool factor lol. Many people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I have a .250. I traded a .22 mag for this bad boy lol. I think I made out good.

Same here, I have the .257 Rob, .257 mag, and .250 Sav. I just think the .250 has a cool factor to it. Don't get me wrong the Roberts is sweet round but I think more people may own Roberts than .250.

I looked for some factory Bobs. Mostly savage and kimber. I'd get a Savage before considering a kimber. But just a little more $$ i can go CB's route.
