    Encore setups

I have a Encore .243 pistol and have been thinking about buying some more barrels and accessories for it. I am having a hard time deciding what other calibers would be nice to have. I already have a couple .223 rifles, a .308 bolt gun, and a 12ga slug gun so I pretty much have those area's covered. I was thinking about maybe getting some rifle stuff in .300 win mag or maybe the new 20" Kaytadin 45-70. I am also considering a 10" or 12" 44 mag pistol barrel.

What Encore combinations do you guys have and what barrels do you find that you use the most?

Here's my encore pro hunter. It's got a 7mag barrel on it now. I just sold my black powder and .270 barrels bc I never take the 7mag barrel off. It's a tack driver and I love it. I'm into my set up almost for nothing after selling the two extra barrels. I bought it brand new at a gun show for $375. Paid $100 at the same show for the 7 mag and .270 barrel package. Sold the black powder and .270 barrels for $375. I got $100 in mine. Can't beat that lol.

Have one in 300 WM now. Want a 270 and a 17 Remington or 204 Ruger.

Son-Blued with bellm upgraded trigger, hammer, and hinge pin. 6 position stock since he's eight and growing. 243 24" barrel, muzzleloader barrel. Shopping slowly for a 20ga turkey barrel for his.

I use mine different than most folks... as a back up... I try to have barrels for everything I have other rifles in... That way I can use the ammo I already have and not have to make things difficult by trying to keep supplied on 30 different calibers.... plus If i go on a hunt and something goes wrong with my primary rifle I can just switch to the encore and usually can use the exact same ammo.

I also use the encore platform to try out new, or new to me calibers Im interested in... I can usually buy a barell in the 200 dollar range... SO I decided to try the 204 ruger, instead of investing in a grand for a new rifle (with glass) I can spent half that and have some fun with the 204... If I decide I dont like the caliber or cant find a niche for it in my safe I sell or trade the barrel for a new caliber... Kinda like test driving calibers. (I also am doing the same with the 300 BLK round right now but it was WAY more expensive)

So, I like to have multiples of what I have in the safe as a back up on a hunt... and use them to try out new calibers (I love the 204 ruger btw) Not sure where I stand on the 300 BLK yet though... when I get my suppressor in I might sing a different tune

Yeah the platform does make it an affordable way to back up your main gun plus like you said test drive new calibers. Thanks for the response!
