    10/22 Scope mounts?

Was just talking to a gunsmith I know and he was telling me the 10/22 factory scope rail is junk. And that I needed to buy a one piece base and rings for accuracy. What are youll using/ thoughts on that?

Good question. When I get home I will have to look. I have a stock 1022 and a custom tricked competition shooter. Both with scopes and both work well. more later....good thread !

I use leupolds dual dove tail for my 10/22.

There's alot that goes into making a 10/22 a lights out shooter... Scope mounts being only one aspect of it.

To really get the accuracy out of a 10/22 you need to bed it and have a spot an inch front of the receiver where the barrel rests.. This really helps get you a firm foundation.. Bc the 10/22 only has one action screw...

Mine still has the factory trigger... I'm looking for an aftermarket in the 1.5-2lb range as we speak. If somebody has one lying around pm me.

I also like KIDD bases. You can get them with built in MOA for long range target guns.

considering my 10-22 is close to 50 yrs old, i am sure those rings dwarfs the original cost of mine. then again, my truck is 23 yrs old too. i come my my company's name honestly-cheap ba$tard incorporated.

Sorry Coach, no idea. When I mounted mine it was like 5 years ago, and quite honestly it was by feel. If it means anything to you, it hasn't moved since! Sorry, I wasn't any help.

Try their website, they should be better than I at this stuff... Hence, that's why I'm into bows! Ha ha.

If you do it right the first time you won't have to spend more money the second time to fix it. I try to bomb proof any build I do so I don't have to worry about knocking a scope out of sight. Ecoboost has the right idea.
