still a sellers market...Me, I would start razzin my buddies who have duplicates and just wait for it to settle, but will take longer than the 08 scare.
I see no reason to spend over msrp & encourage gouging. Was at the gunshow several hours this weekend and saw lots of old friends. There was one great deall on a 1911, but was one of those guns that had the urge to sleep in the safe instead of turn up on gunbroker?? Getting better at walking away.

those are pre craze prices. Are you talking about putting in an order and waiting for the excessive lead times, or they on shelves for these prices right now? Have a phone #??
By all means, a colt 6920 for even 11 - 12 bones is a great deal in today's market.
Everyone was buying cruddy AR's for $1500+\- at the show today!!
Colts were $2k

Academy had Wyndham for $729 last week at academy. They also had bushmasters from $800-$999. Ever since the tinfoil hat and bottled water crowd quit buying ever little ounce out there....things have been coming back to normal. They also had $8 boxes of independence 5.56 and $20 boxes of 150gr 308 ammo. Don't rush to buy stuff...be patient.
