I have the XD-45 and love it.... I just saw what the XDS-45 today in the NRA American Rilfe Magazine, and went to the website where I have fallen in love with it.. I have been wanting a concealed 45 to carry and this will be my gun... I love XD and springfield armory weapons. It would fit perfect in my truck and fit perfect to carry for my frame....

      Single stack? 45?

Sounds like you need a 1911 brother!

My buddy has the xds and I've shot it before. Like said it's got some kick. Nothing one would notice in a combat situation but could get a little uncomfortable at the range shooting a few hundred... I just sold a P-250 .9mm. It's a good gun, not great but good. Sold it for a new Gen 3 19 and it is a much better gun.
Currently carry either the 19, a Ruger P90 full size single stack, a Taurus 24/7 .40 and when I get a new holster I'll add the STI TBH 1911 to the mix. Now I want a 2" .357 wheel gun...

I have a Kahr PM45 also owned a PM9-G36. These guns are all great for CCW. They are also comfortable to shoot. If you've got the $ go ahead and get the Kahr. The guy I traded my - his PM9 carries it daily for his pocket carry. These Kahr pistols are the slimmest made.

I have an XDs, and I put the Pearce extensions on the two stock mags, and I have an extended mag on the way. I bought this gun for concealed carry, and my CHL is also on the way. I am in the holding pattern waiting for it to be sent to me. I really don't plan to run many rounds through this thing. I just want to shoot it enough to get a handle on how it shoots, and to be proficient with it at close range. If I want to go to the range and pop off a bunch of rounds then I will shoot a 1911.

I have carried a G36 as my CCW for a number of years and a guy I work with bought a XDS. He wanted to sell it to me cause he wanted more carring capacity. I went and put about 150 rounds through it in a afternoon and fell in love with it. I will get it and switch to carring it.

Just bought the XDs for my wife . Took it out and shot It today. Great little gun and my wife never really having shot a hand gun, did just fine no complaints of recoil . Shoots a bit high .

XDs hands down. Easy to conceal and easy to shoot. I think the whole recoil thing is different for everyone.

if the M&P Shield came in .45 I would like to give that a try..
