I remembered a box of .22lr I saw in a hardware store 10yrs ago for $1.49. Oh and there was no limit...

Did you ever get your hands on some .22lr?

That's the lightning federal box from the early 80's

Late 80's they came out with the red and black side striped boxes...

Now the boxes are red with a black stripe down the center...

Lightnings have been around for a while.

Let me know if you need some more. I see you got your hands on a MP 15-22. I took mine out last week and it is a sweet shooter.

Taking it out again tomorrow with my boy. I want to get it fine tuned with the iron sights. Gonna put some rounds through the Ruger Mini-14 too.

Well that's not going to feed that 15-22 very long. Shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.

My dad taught me to hoard ammo... He still has all those boxes in a locker! When we would head to the range Id ask as a kid... How old is this stuff? Hes also the one that taught me "Walmart is not your closet... If you need it and they don't have it you will sing a different tune" ... So true dad.

I just went through my "locker" the other day and remembered (that means I saw it) that I had about ten boxes of assorted Remington "Kleanbore" 22 bullets. Best I could tell these are from the 60's. Looks like these are collector items now, some of them pretty pricey (maybe not so much when compared to what people are paying at the gouge shops). Was thinking about vaccum sealing them and putting them back up. If I can remember tonight, I will take a few pics.

The stuff used to be about a penny a round and you could get it cheaper by the brick. I'm sure that I still have some laying around that I don't have a cent and a half invested in. You young guys don't know the worth of a dollar, or maybe you do and us older guys refuse to realize how worthless Obamabucks really are.
