No such thing as too much scope, a buddy of mine put a 1200 dollar swarovski on his .22 for lack of no other scopes being open in his safe. He said he got lots of funny looks.

You may have an accuracy problem with it. Most centerfire rifle scopes have a neutral parallax setting around 100 yards. Using them on a rimfire 22LR, you could have aiming issues and accuracy. To understand what I'm talking about, put your gun up in a shooting vice or rest it on bags where you can see through your scope without touching the gun. put it on a target, then without touching the gun look through the scope and move your head around while looking through the scope. You will notice that the crosshairs (or post depending on the recticle), will appear to move around all over the target, yet the gun and scope are not moving... What that means is that you can zero the scope in and shoot a perfect group, relaod, remount the gun and if you're not looking EXACTLY the same way through the scope, you can shoot another group but it may be inches from the last group with the same sight picture. That's why scopes are specifically made for Rimfire 22's... or at least have an adjustable objective lens or parallax adjustment turret.

That is a very nice looking set up however!
