I don't post often but this story really rankles me.
It was an obvious affront to our Constitution of the right to free press to post the photos of his choice and not be reviled because of it as long as they aren't portraying anything illegal or immoral.
And again of the 4th Amendment to illegal search without a warrant just because of a posted photo.
They didn't "ask for it" because of their actions.
It's because of this erosion of our rights as citizens and the "business as usual" attitude that we do nothing about it, that the government is slowly chipping away at our freedoms piece by piece.
If the officers had been allowed to see and view his weapons safe, we would be reading about an arrest or maybe worse.
I am proud that my kids are interested in the outdoors....Our rights are being infringed upon....Whether we post pics on FB or on this forum here....There are those who would like to cause us problems..because they don't understand or like our way of life....Are we to be reclusive and hide those things that are valuable to us? I would like for my kids..g-kids..etc..to be able to enjoy many of the things that I have growing up....
From reading your previous post, I know we are very different. That being said, I totally agree with this statement. Well said.
