I did this class in January and it was an awesome experience. Dale was a very effective instructor and I learned a lot about my weapon, my shooting and myself. Take this class. You won't regret it.

We survived the weather today. It stopped raining just before we started shooting. Met a few TBH'ers in person, Chris and Jason (they shoot way better than I do). I had an absolute blast today and I learned quite a bit too.
I was the first to bleed, well maybe Chris was, he showed up with a previous wound that got more aggravated while we were kneeling, sitting, laying in the dirt. My bleeding came from a strong to weak hand drill after each shot when my strong hand thumb didn't get out of the way of the slide action. I learned quick, it only happened once. Jason did the same thing later in class.
All in all, we had a lot of fun. Threw a lot of lead downrange and I think we all learned some weak areas we need to work on, I surely did. I guess my left hand isn't just for scratching anymore.
BTW, don't shoot one of Chris's STI's if he offers. You will spend the drive home wondering how soon you can buy one. Man they shoot sweet.
If anyone was on the fence as to whether or not you could benefit from this class I recommend you take it. This will open your eyes to many different scenarios that you may be in, especially as a CHL holder. Dale is a great instructor and I am already looking forward to part 2.
Jason, Chris - Nice to meet you guys, Had a ball
Dale - Thank You for the professionalism, and the humor you brought today. Great class.

What a day!! I was really worried that we were going to have a really nasty day of range work, but It quit raining just a tad after 0800 and we started our day.
We worked our way through basic handgun techniques coupled with five different shooting positions and transitions, magazine changes, failure drills, speed drills, Vtac 9 shot drill and various others ended with Intuitives coupled with intergrated draw and movement.. and the guys tore it up!!
As soon as the photographer releases the photos I will start posting them up, the last I heard there was well of 700 pictures ...
Each one of you did a great job !! Thank you...
The next class coming up is on the 13th of April...

I would like to come out one day and go through your training class in the future Dale, right now ammo is such a pain to get ahold of. Sound like some good stuff.
Do you supply the Band-Aids.
Today Band-aids were supplied by the photographer!!

Today was fun. Started out with us getting rained on heavily with a side of hail on the trip north to the range. Heavy enough rain at one point to pull over and just behind the worst of the hail evident from the white out on the road through a mile stretch of rd. When we arrived the rain was just subsiding. We started out shooting at a steady pace warming up and reviewing on fundamentals that should be in place prior to this class. It wasn't long and we were fully engaged shooting different drills and having a blast...pun intended. This is a great class for you if you already have a basic understanding of firearms safety. Do not feel intimidated by Dale or anyone else in the class. Ask questions, and ask to see examples of the drill for clarity and safety if you're not sure or don't feel safe. This class is a bargain given the information dump you will receive when compared to other classes. I more than likely will be attending the next level two class. The class had a very laid back feel that was enjoyable.
Thanks Tuff.
