    Mags full or empty?

Kind of a stupid question, I think I know the answer, I keep one mag full and all my backup mags empty.
    Thanks

      for what? when in use?

any mag i plan on using or even think i have to use stays loaded....i never completely load them.

an empty mag is worthless if you need it

My point was too much strain on the mag spring when full and the possibility of wearing out the spring and hence decreasing functionality

I was told once that those type of springs do not loose strength over time when mags are fully loaded. I wouldn't worry about it. Something that needs to be taken care of though is keeping them clean and free of rust... LOL.

compressing spring dont fatigue them, cycling them is what weakens them.

Mine are all fully loaded. I use the dust covers to keep pressure off the feed lips.

I do the same and am still using my Glock 17 mags with no problem. Most of them are at least 10 years old. The only mags I fill completely are my carry mags.

Ive seen mags from the 60s that were fully loaded for 50 years without loosing strength.

                          Loaded down!
When the time comes to use em, you can't call time out for reloading.

Loaded! If you are worried about mag springs, they change out easily and are cheap,
