how to find out the max range on a scope

plan to shoot 500 to 1000 yards is my goal. However i would say 200 to 300 starting out I am looking at a .308 for my very first rifle. then working on 30 30 lever action then a 7 mag and a 30 06

That scope offered by trophy8 would be an excellent starting point, and will get you to 300. When you get ready to upgrade, take it off and put it on your 30-30.

My advice. If you've never owned a rifle. I'm assuming you've not shot many, forget 1000 yards for awhile. Practice alot. Shoot something like a 22-250 or a 243 or 223 and practice. Get to where you can shoot good groups consistently at 100. Then step it up.
