stock question

im planning on getting a new stock for one of my bolt guns that has the standard factory contour barrel im wanting to upgrade eventually to a heavy barrel if i get a stock for a bull barrel and put the rifle as is in it going to affect anything? if anything its just going to really free float it right?

Yep will be fine. In all reality that dollar bill thing is a myth kinda deal. A wood stock can expand and retract more than the width of a dollar bill clearance. Been there. They really need more than a dollar bill.
