    Got A New Toy Yesterday

Well, it's on layaway actually. On my way to have my jaw surgery yesterday, I made a quick stop into a local spot and put a very nice 1969 Marlin 39a Mountie with a gold plated trigger on layaway (didn't have time to do all the FBI paperwork before I had to check in for the surgery). I'll go pick it up as soon as I'm on the mend and able to get out on my own again. I've wanted one of these for a while, and ran across this one at a great price. Can't wait to let my little boy learn to shoot with it!

    Looks like this...

I think the 39 is a better rifle than the 9422 any day. Great buy!

Finally got around to picking this gun up! The only bummer about buying a new gun for me, is that I can't keep guns in my apartment (I run a student housing complex on a college campus while I'm back in school, so my family lives on campus). I keep all my guns in a safe at a buddies house, so I just have to go over there when I want to play!

This gun is in surprisingly great condition for a gun that's been used. It has some minor wear on the stock in a few spots, but overall is very nice.

I'm planning to try to put some lead down the barrel tomorrow!

I got a 39 D and love it! My father gave it to my grandpa and it was passed down to me!
