Where can I find an .40 M&P shield

Hey guys,

I am looking for a .40 M&P shield. If you know about this handgun you know that they are close to impossible to find right now. Does anyone have any leads on where i can find one or at least bite the bullet and get on a waiting list?

I am going to take a stab at it and say that any Shield that hits a shelf will be sold within a few minutes. They are just popular right now.

You can get them on gunbroker with Buy It Now for about $570 (I see one for that price right now) and with shipping will run about $590-$600 plus your FFL.

People are paying that price right now but you can get them. In a store you will save a few bucks but you will need to be lucky enough to be there when it is put up for sale because it won't last long.

Go to grabagun.com and get on the email alert list. I did that for my Kahr. Got the email while I just happened to be sitting at my laptop and pounced. Within 5 minutes they were sold out. Got 2 alerts yesterday saying they got in some M&P9's and M&P40's.

This is a great little gun shop. Good guys to deal with. Prices are great and no BS. I'll be buying more from them in the future.

Thankfully, I bought my wife her shield 9mm right when they came out. Their a hot gun on the shelves for sure!!

I just received one in for a customer today...he was on a 7mos waiting list.

They must be just now cranking out the new ones as his was a 3 digit s/n.

Guess it depends on the gun shop. My dad picked up the 9mm shield this past Thursday. He called and put his name on the waiting list a week and half prior to picking it up. Not sure if the gun shop did him a favor or got lucky. Paid $450 for it.

I got lucky and found one at a local shop. Paid $430 out the door. Shot it last weekend and really liked it, very nice trigger and accurate. Only thing I didn't like was the awkward location of the safety. Good luck!
