scope mount for ar?

I got my rock river in today from gt and need a scope mount for it. Any suggestions? I have heard larue is good and have seen the rra mount as well. Going to put a monarch on it. thanks!

Larue is good but you may be waiting awhile unless you buy used. I have the Burris PEPR mount and am very happy with it.

Larue is the ferrari of scope mounts, they are bad to the bone. My buddy has a Burris QD PEPR and he really likes it. American Defense Mounts also makes nice mounts with QD levers. I have an ADM QD on a vortex strikefire, because I didnt like the vortex mount, and it stays zeroed after removal and re installation of the scope.

Have the Burris mount on various AR's in both 1" and 30mm ring size. I like them and they seem to be pretty consistent in manufacture as well. They come with 2 sets of top ring halves. I put the rail adapter rings on mine so I can mount a light directly to the scope. If you use the QD version, you can take light/scope off together... pretty handy for switching from night varmint/hog hunting to day time carry for deer and other game animals not allowed to be hunted at night... Fewer questions to answer in the event of a check by GW while deer hunting if you carry the rifle with you to the blind like I do once gun season opens.

got a burris for 89. hopefully will work out good! Prob wont even take it off that much besides to put the NV on it every now and then. Thanks for all the help guys. Was suprised when I got the call from gt today.

Its what I have as well and am impressed. I never planned on taking my scope off either so QD wasnt important to me. I have Burris tactical mounts on my 308 bolt action and they have been great as well (even more so after I tightened all 12 screws that Cabelas forgot to do when they bore sighted my rifle - was not a happy camper when I got to the range and figured out what was going on after a box of shells and my ONLY box).

So what Larue mount is the right one for the Viper PST 1-4? I see several QD mounts on their WS that look similar. Thanks
