    Any .17 hornet shooters?

I've got an HMR that I rarely use and remember the hornet coming out last year. Just wondering if anyone had one and if it was worth a dern.

I looked at it the other day but decided I'm still gonna try to do a .17 fireball... has more powder behind it

Had one in a TC.. Sold it the other day in an effort to minimize my weird calibers.

Fun little caliber... But just didn't have the time for it.

been shooting this custom built 17 AH for close to 10 yrs

20 gr vmax on top on 11.5 grs of N120 clocks 3850 fps

farthest kill was a song dog at 300 yds

hundreds of crows , starlings, and jackrabbits have been turned into red mist

I have a savage in walking varminter. The jeweled bolt is a little rough, but shoots well. I had two holes in the paper touching each other, and the third not far from touching. Cool little round, great for the many grey foxes I call up at our lease. I also have a mint remy custom deluxe in 17 Remington! I've only shot it 10 times and no kills with it. Can't allow myself to scratch a beautiful weapon in such mint condition. 17 Remington definetly has more umph to it. Good luck with your hornet.

I shot a cat with a friends fireball last year. No hole in or out that I could find. He said if it would have hit a bone it wouldve been a different story. Did like how there was a bang but the gun didn't move. His was a model 7 in MO brush.

I enjoy a nice red mist. That's a pretty sweet rifle.

Ya I have a BDL heavy varmint that had a wood stock on it, took that off and put a vtr stock on it so I didn't destroy it also.
