    New bullet designed for hogs

I was scrolling through YouTube and came across this twice. It's called the Razorback XT, come in 150 grains for the .308 and 64 grains for the .223. To me, it looks like a Barnes X bullet. Marketing at its finest

I've seen them before but I've never shot one before. Fmj to the head works just as good for me.

Shot placement. Hard to beat a HP or VMax. Plenty of rounds out there without the marketing.

It's just a gimmick. Anything to sell more ammo. Any .308 deer round will smoke a hog too.

I looked at some of those in Academy a while back, just out of curiosity. They are not shaped like a normal bullet, they have flat faces on the sides of the bullet. Of course they are a cylinder shape at the base, but once they start coming to a point, they have flats on them. Just seemed wierd to me, wonder how they fly, and if the flats actually give any added effect that a standard conical point doesn't provide. In other words, what is the purpose of the strange shape?

11:20 on the vid is my guess.

i too wonder about the effects it has at long distance.

Marketing. But pretty sure it's a cousin to the Barnes all copper HP bullets. I love the Barnes round in my 9mm so I'm betting its great in a 223... Having said that there are far more affordable versions. Who really needs low flash powder and the fancy coated cases?
