what is a 308 good for

308 is good for any big game its got a solid punch to it,but for me ive never needed more than a 270 it packs the right punch and dont fall as fast

Everything and I wouldn't hesitate shooting an elk with one.

Honestly anything in North America. Think of a 30/06 that fits a short action and wont shoot as heavy of a bullet. Thats how I think of the two. Ive always been a 06 fan but cant go wrong with either one.

With mine I have killed pigs, whitetail, sika, blackbuck and oryx. Havent had an issue with any and plan to shoot a lot more with it! My favorite caliber
