No pics yet but I placed an order last week for a Compass Lake Engineering 224 Valkyrie with a 24” Bartlein barrel. I’m probably going to stay with the 85.5 grain Bergers to gain a little speed over the 90’s. There’s just not enough gain going to the 90’s vs the 85.5 IMO. Those yellow box bullets are just hard to beat. I have a Savage VLP 223 that shoots the 80.5 Bergers w/ AR Comp like a laser.
So has anyone ever heard of (or owned) a .256 Winchester Mag. I just got one today. I actually was purchasing the pistol for the scope on it. But since it came with a bunch of ammo and dies, who knows, I might actually shoot it. The scope is shown mounted on my 7x30 waters barrel for my TC Contender.
I bought this S&W Performance Center Victory 22LR, I shot some 5 shot groups with it at 20 yards and it is pretty good. The trigger is a little different but it breaks crisp with a small amount of take up.
One of my hunting buddies is now 91 and unable to hunt due to a stroke. I bought his Browning BPS with 30" vent rib barrel. I'll shoot it this year at our annual crane hunt. He took exceptional care of all his guns and this one is primo.
