38 spl and antipersonnel loads will do a world of hurt at short range. Nice gun! I have an XS Big Dot on my XD45 and it's really bright in the dark.

I really want to shoot 357 mag if I can. With the right load, there is nearly 200 fps difference in 38 +P and 357 mag loads.

Hmmmm, there's actually quite a bit of difference in velocity and energy between 38+P and 357 mag.
