Didn't much care for the thumbhole. Picked up an HS Precision someone had spray painted black for $100. Gave it a face-lift and she's looking better.

    She shoots too.

Picked up this little gun today. I paid more than I think I should have, but it was well under MSRP. Also ordered a picattiny scope mount and plan on mounting some kind of cheaper low magnification scope (thinking of a reflex or acog style). The squirrels around here better watch out come October!

      Savage model 42 .22lr over .410

The bolts real stiff, Cam pin didn't wanna come out... Hoping it'll loosen up with some shooting

Didn't buy it today, but picked it up from APR today. Remington 700 reworked to a 280. Ran half a box thru it this afternoon and so far I am very impressed with their work.

              Got from a fellow TBHer a Hi Standard Dura-Matic M101 from 1954.

I am so impressed with this gun. Great feel in handle and great balance.

Came with no mag but will be getting a few. Grips are cracked but fixed.

I am debating on restoring this gun totally or keeping as is and just buying mags and new grips.

Try to find some original high standard mags with the dark green followers. The after market light green followers can have problems. If your mag feeds ok the DO NOT mess with the feed lips.

Those are great accurate gun. Congrats

Picked this up today and I love it.

Will try it in the next day or two at Reds.

Smith and Wesson 66-1 from 1980. Very clean and mint.

6" barrel. Very happy with the trade I made.

I will give updates after going to Reds.

Just got back from Reds on shooting both my Rock Island 1911 in 45 and the S&W 357.

Loved the pop from the 1911. Very accurate IMO.

The S&W shocked me at how very little recoil it had. First few shots were too the left (15 yards away) but I adjusted my grip and corrected.

Single action shot was a very light trigger (maybe 2.5lbs) but the double took a little more.

                              Now I want a 44 mag and a 454 Casull revolver.

I have the S&W model 27 in the 357 mag and love it. It looks just like your 66 but mine is nickel and not stainless. They are very accurate and fun to shoot.
