Could be worse. They made a factory .416 Rigby barrel. Believe some have made custom barrels in larger calibers.

I found this at my local gun store..
Single shot, .243 cal. Barrel, with a 20 ga. Barrel combo pack.

Going to gift it to my 9 yr. old grandson, he just killed his first deer with a borrowed M77 in .243. It's time he has his own gun to hunt with Grandpa.

Need to find a good, Nikon or Bushnell to mount on it.

Those are nice guns. My first deer rifle was one of those in .223. Brother-in-law has it now for my niece and nephews.

It's off a newer Ruger but it seems to time just fine. Now I just need to find some rounds to test her out.
