That could be a mag issue. Try some different magazines to get it to lock open

Came with 5. Only locked back about 10% of the time with seemingly complete randomness. IE a mag would lock back. Next time it wouldn't.

I have a few other mags I'll try too.

Other wise, decent trigger (IMO was a tad disappointed) @ 6.5# was fairly accurate. Fit is great and finish was nice too.

Picked up a nice TC Contender 30-30 from a member! Was able to get out and shoot it yesterday and today! Looking forward to the season!

I watched that thread for several days and if I didn't have my funds tied up in other guns I would have snagged it. If you ever want to get rid of it let me know.

I think they are pretty cheap, my neighbor just bought two 308's for his second grade twin boys. I would imagine they are south of $500 dollars each.
