No pictures at work but last guns i bought was a M&P shield and a stripped lower.

Finished putting my .204 together.

Need to sight in and work up a load.

First run of the gun today.

3 shots to sight in.

6 shot group
Decided I was good and packing up. I took another look in the scope and saw a praying mantis walking across the bottom and held 1" low. SWACK. Nailed it.

Packed up and left. I had to leave on that note.

This was hornady super performance 32 grain vmax published 4250 fps. I left the chronograph at home so couldn't verify.

So I could finish putting this together:



Noveske VLTOR MUR1 upper
20" Bartlein 5R barrel, chambered in 6.5 Grendel by Precision Firearms
Noveske 16.7" NSR hand guard
AAC 51t Brakeout


When finished it will have a WMD nickel boron bolt carrier with a barrel matched bolt, Noveske Raptor charging handle and topped with a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50 in a Larue LT-104 mount.

Springfield Armory XD (C) .40 and it wasn't easy. I went through a lot of angst the past week or two between Glock, S&W, Ruger and Springfield. Spent time on the range with all of them and the Springfield just felt better to me. No other reason. If, in the end, I don't like it I can always buy something else

Got a Forbes 24b 280 recently. Nice gun and light weight. Taking to range soon. Anyone else have experience with accuracy with these?
