a beautiful, engraved OU. winchester 101 etc.. may not be a ton of fun when you pull the trigger, but they sure do look good and feel nice!!
quality 1911, colt etc.
a good bolt action, remington model 700, ruger m77, win m70 etc.

AR15 - 556 caliber
1911 - 45 caliber
Remington pump 870 express 12 gauge
Remington 308 model 700
Ruger 22 - rifle or pistol
I would throw a 9mm I there somewhere just for ammo availability.

I would say you need one of the following
Semi auto pistol. My choice 1911 colt or Springfield
Lever action brush/saddle gun my choice Winchester 30-30
Shotgun. Chunky choice Rem 870
A revolver. My pick is a Colt or Ruger in .45 colt
A bolt action all purpose rifle. Mine is a pre 64 30-06 with good glass
And lastly. An AR 15. For Zombies and such. Mine is a Daniel Defense
Oh wait is that 6??? Well that is my list.
Next would be a .22 rifle for plinking and small game.
10 would have been easier than 5

I skipped reading responses so I wouldn't be influenced.
My top 5 must haves....
1. 1911 .45
2. Ruger 10/22
3. Remington 700 in your choice of round
4. Remington 870 12ga.
5. AR15 in 5.56
These 5 are classics that will cover every need for a firearm. I thought long and hard and left some off that I really like
Runners up. S&W 686, Winchester 94, Ruger Mk II, Ruger Single Six, Winchester Model 12, High Standard 22, Benelli M1, Winchester Pre-64 Model 70
