    Reloading help!

I just started using media with rouge to polish my brass and it gets all over everything.

Do I need to clean it with a liquid or just brush off as much as possible and start the process? Seems odd to just reload with the residue inside of the case but I don't know. I'm pretty new to reloading in general but this is the first run with media containing rouge.

    Thanks in advance!

Note: most of my reloading is "precision" for bolt guns.

Instead of the makeup, try using a capful or two of nu finish car wax. Let it run a few minutes to unclump, then toss the brass in. Keeps dust down too

It polishes the brass faster too! Comes out pretty shiney, but nothing like those stainless steel rod cleaners

I add two cups of white rice to corn cob media with a cap of polish.

Interesting never heard this. I will certainly be trying it. And once you pull it out of the tumbler it's straight to lube and size?

Yup. Just stay away from ammonia based products.

I used that rouge one time and chucked it.I didn't like that residue inside the cases.I ran them back through corncob and cleaned them up.

Yeah just seems the residue inside would affect performance some how? Maybe or maybe I'm just paranoid.

Been using that for a while. Get's em real purdy! Also try throwing in an old dryer sheet to pull some of the dirt/grime out of the media.
