I want to add a single point sling attachment to my AR. would like one that does not involve replacing the but-plate. Any recommendations?

Which buttstock do you have? They make them points that clamp to the adjustable stocks.

GG&G makes one that clamps on the buffer tube. You should be able to find one in stock online.

Why not replace the end plate? If u dont have the wrench for the tube nut you can use a small punch and tap it around.
